DESCRIPTION
Working with the Executive Director to create a database of potential grants and timelines for the writing process
Create and Maintain a Grant Calendar which shows when a grant application and or report is due and the contact information
Review funder websites printed application guidelines and determine mission alignments of a potential funder
Work with other teams to identify areas of needs where a grant would help solve the problem or fill a need
Learn how to research and write grants
Research and help write, review, and edit all affiliate grant proposals
Evaluate grant writing strategy to adapt to the organization’s strategic plan
Attend our functions and other events and activities as identified
Volunteers will participate and become actively involved in the actual operational activities of the organization
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for skilled and motivated volunteers who are responsible, have good time management and communication skills, and can work well on their own
Candidates are required to have excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
Volunteers are required to have the ability to follow directions, speak about the organization, research, enter, and track donor information utilizing various database systems
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer and subject matter competency
